The Austrian CSR Quality Seal for Printing Companies

The Buchdruckerei Lustenau (BuLu) was the first printing company in Vorarlberg to be awarded the CSR Quality Seal for Printing Companies by the Austrian Association of Print and Media Technology. This quality seal recognises the responsible corporate performance of BuLu in all areas: the market, the environment, the workplace and the stakeholders.

Although BuLu already has several other certificates, such as FSC, PEFC, the Austrian Eco-Label, Green Brands, carbon-neutral printing and family-friendly business, this is our first award which encompasses not only our ecological efforts but also our social ones.

The Austrian Association of Print and Media Technology developed a special certificate based on CSR Standard ISO 26000 and the Austrian CSR Standard ONR 192500 to be able to recognise responsible printing companies.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has gained a socio-political as well as a practical significance for businesses in recent years. Since then, more and more businesses have committed themselves to society’s social issues and in particular to their employees and a sustainable resource-saving supply chain. By considering the ecological, economic and social aspects all together, we should be able to achieve a responsible, co-operative existence, which would not only improve today’s society , but would also ensure the needs of future generations.
